How is the workshop presented?
The workshop is primarily presented in video format; all videos have English closed captions.
The cheat sheet is a downloadable PDF; it contains a lot of the same information that’s in the videos, but doesn’t overlap perfectly (it’s got more information on some things and less on others).
How long is the workshop?
The workshop is broken down into the 10-step framework, a detailed making tutorial, the cheat sheet, and the Q&A. There is over 2 hours of video instruction and the cheat sheet is over 20 pages long. There’s lots there!
How do I access the workshop and cheat sheet?
After you sign up you’ll log in on the Workshops portal, select The DIY Lotion Workshop, and voila!
How long will I have access the workshop and cheat sheet?
Your access does not expire! You’ll have as long as you need to work through the materials and can revisit them whenever you like.
Are the formulations all natural/vegan/palm free/etc.?
I’ll be teaching you how to formulate emulsions; whether or not they’re natural/palm free/vegan will depend on the ingredients you choose to use for your formulations. We will discuss natural ingredient options.
If you are brand new to making emulsions it will be easier to start with synthetic preservatives, which means your formulations can easily be 99–99.5% natural.
Will this workshop teach me how to use specific skincare actives in lotions?
The focus of this workshop is on how to formulate lotions & creams, not how to work with specific actives. If you’ve got your eye on something fancy that you’d like to use in a lotion, knowing how to make a lotion is the first step, and I’ll teach you how to do that! You’ll also learn how to adjust formulations so you can accommodate actives in your emulsions, but your own research and experimentation will be required.

No; in order to keep this workshop as accessible as possible it is entirely self-serve.
